Georgia O'Keefe was a successful artist with regular shows in New York and elsewhere in the 20s and 30s which was a time that it was nearly unheard of for women to achieve such standing. Part of her success was due to her husband who was a famed gallerist and photographer and paved the way to her receiving her own shows.
But Georgia also had a younger, very talented, but not as successful sister. This article introduces us to Ida, her work and why she didn't achieve the same level of success as Georgia.
